  • Shipping Office Clerk – Ft. Worth, TX

    Position Overview

    Schumacher Electric Corporation, the industry leader of battery chargers in the automotive aftermarket and private sector, is seeking a Shipping Office Clerk. Knowledge of Syteline software is a plus.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

    • Accurately record material counts to be shipped.
    • Coordinate daily shipping schedule with customer service, purchasing and production personnel.
    • Notify appropriate personnel if outgoing shipments will be delayed.
    • Generate packing slips, bills of lading, customer documents and commercial invoices.
    • Determine best shipping method utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
    • Ensure all shipments have the proper labels.
    • Handle phone calls and emails regarding shipping questions or concerns.
    • Understand and follow individual customer requirements.
    • Review all delivery notes for special instructions and highlight them for material handlers.
    • Utilize SAP to print pick lists, confirm and post orders, and determine other information such as carrier, ship date, and pro numbers.
    • Ensure orders are shipped in time to arrive by the customer’s requested delivery date.
    • Act as a backup to other office personnel when necessary.

    Qualifications

    This position requires a High School Diploma. The successful candidate will have prior knowledge of best practices for shipping and any prior warehouse experience is a plus. In order to be able to perform the job successfully candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail and be able to multitask. The candidate will be required to work well in a fast paced environment, work well with others in high stress situations, and understand the importance of confidentiality.   • Small Parcel Picker – Ft. Worth, TX

Experience or license in handling forklifts, end rider pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is preferred. FedEx Shipment Manager and UPS WorldShip software experience is a plus.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
    • Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
    • Package items, print labels, weigh packages and determine appropriate postage.
    • Stencil, tag or mark orders as requested.
    • Keep records of completed orders.
    • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
    • Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards.

    Qualifications

    Schumacher Electric Corporation, the industry leader of battery chargers in the automotive aftermarket and private sector, is seeking a Cycle Counter.  Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is a plus.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Monitor and control inventory integrity.
    • Maintain product identification and location program.
    • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and / or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. 
    • Weigh and mark products displaying remaining product left.
    • Research inventory discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
    • Manage the inventory control function at the site.
    • Oversee physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits and reconciliations.
    • Track and report non-conforming product.
    • Document and control aged and damaged product.
    • Ensure all labeling requirements are met in a timely manner.
    • Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management.
    • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
    • Train site staff in proper inventory control techniques and practices.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Efficiently load and unload freight in a warehouse environment using appropriate motorized and manual equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
    • Check incoming shipments to match order information with items received, and inform the supervisor of any discrepancies.
    • Transport checked and secured goods to assigned storage areas.
    • Assist workers in picking orders from storage areas.
    • Check all picked orders to ensure that they bear the right information such as batch and item numbers.
    • Tag outgoing shipments with information such as batch numbers, expiry dates, and destination addresses.
    • Lift and carry items to awaiting delivery trucks, ensuring that they are properly and safely loaded into vehicles.

    Qualifications

    Position Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support ERP and related applications.
    • Build and maintain custom built applications.

  • Accounts Receivable Manager – Mt. Prospect, IL

    Position Overview

    Schumacher Electric Corporation, the industry leader of battery chargers in the automotive aftermarket and private sector, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager. Knowledge of Syteline accounting software is a plus.

    Position Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor processing of invoices and ensure timely collection of payments
    • Conduct credit checks on all customers as well as establish and manage their credit limits
    • Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
    • Analyze customer accounts for any skipped, partial payments or customer errors and negotiate with customers in non-payment cases
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc forecasting reports
    • Provide weekly reports of invoice totals, aging totals, cash receipts and invoice adjustments
    • Update receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily sales order processing and bank remittance transactions
    • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions
    • Assist in monthly closing
    • Assist with audits throughout the year

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have 8-10 years of retail Accounts Receivable experience. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager and have hands-on experience with accounting software. This position requires excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports. Candidate should have the ability to accurately process numerical data, be self-motivated, and flexible with special projects. Candidate should be proficient in MS Excel and Word and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
