  • Domestic Account Executive

    Position Overview:

    Schumacher Electric Corporation is looking for a Domestic Account Executive to join our national sales team. The Domestic Account Executive (DAE) is responsible for the development and day-to-day management of Schumacher Electric’s domestic distribution network in an assigned territory.  A DAE is required to have thorough knowledge of the automotive aftermarket – both DIY and professional, manage the retail placement of Schumacher’s products either directly or through local distributors, and to develop and execute promotional plans to grow our sales across the territory.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drive sales through our direct retail and distribution partners with effective account management concentrating on strategic sales planning, communication, and execution
    • Analyze sales trends, identify market opportunities, manage customer requirements developing insights and strategies to increase our business within the territory
    • Educate distributor personnel on Schumacher Electric’s brands and portfolio of products through in-person sales training on how to sell and promote
    • Liaison with the production and marketing departments developing sales forecasts for specific product lines, customers and markets
    • Analyze and understand Point of Sale data to then draw insights and strategies to grow the business
    • Perform market visits on a frequent basis
    • Monitor and evaluate product assortments and marketing efforts of our competition
    • Manage the existing field sales representative network with the territory
    • Work independently and as part of a team to meet overall organizational goals, vision and values of the company


    A bachelor’s level degree in business or a related degree from an accredited university or college is preferred. Qualified candidate should have at least 4 year sales experience preferably with a leading Consumer Goods or Automotive Aftermarket brand. Experience calling on Sporting Goods, Consumer Electronics, Automotive, and Hardware is a plus. Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. The successful candidate will be decisive, strategic and entrepreneurial, and possess strong analytical skills. This is a field sales position with moderate domestic travel required.
